Few things sum up village life here better than an evening of local ale in good company. Through the year the village and its brewery host beer festival days and tap nights, and staying at Mellor Knowl puts you within walking distance of the fun.

What happens

Festival days typically bring together the brewery's own cask ales with food, music and a famously friendly crowd drawn from the village and the surrounding valleys. Tap nights are smaller and more regular, a chance to drink the freshest possible pint a stone's throw from where it was brewed.

Why it is special

This is not a big commercial festival. It is a village event in a beautiful setting, the kind of evening where you arrive as a visitor and leave having chatted to half the room. If your stay coincides with one, we thoroughly recommend it.
